Relaxer Update

I'm on a roll tonight!

I'm 95% sure that I've made a decision on relaxing.

I want to get it professionally done. Just based on the fact that I under-processed the back on my last relaxer and I would like that corrected. Also, the amount of NG I have makes the idea of doing it myself pretty daunting (I will be 30 weeks post by the time I plan to relax). Now the question is "where"?! My mother wants me to see her stylist (who used to be MY stylist until he got scissor happy and cut my hair super duper short a few years ago). He is a GREAT stylist, and her hair looks awesome with him taking care of it but I just don't have that trust anymore after he chopped my hair up to EL. I want to go to JCP Salon (I've gotten relaxers there multiple times and never had a bad experience) but I'm double thinking it... I don't know why.

I'm leaning towards JCP though, honestly. I love my mom's stylist as a person but I just don't want him to chop off my hair... and I feel like he's gonna try. Also, I don't want any direct heat used on my hair... I just want a roller-set. With S. (my mom's guy), he's HEAT happy too! And that would be fine for just this once but I'm in all these challenges that do not allow direct heat.

I've set my relaxer date for 02/13/10 so I have a little less than a month to iron out all the details but I'm just that much closer to knowing what the heck I'm doing!

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
