Ulta Ulitimate Moisture Restoring Conditioner Review

What is it? A "unique complex of vitamins and natural extracts [that] replenishes moisture leaving hair soft, shiny and healthy looking."

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearalkonium Chloride, Benzalkonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Laureth-4, Maurita Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Panthenol, Polyquaternium-11, Propylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance

Initial thoughts (before use): ::shrugs:: I really didn't have too high of expectations for this product, and decided that I was going to use it as a co-wash. There are a lot of chemical (unpronounceable for a lazy mouth like mine...) ingredients. Now we all know that I'm not a stickler for "all natural ingredients" but seeing a bunch of chemicals usually wanes my excietement until I see the results. The conditioner smells like the usual "unscented" products...

Application: I applied it like I usually apply a conditioner when co-washing... I work from the ends of the hair up to the roots and try not to concentrate on the scalp (though it's impossible, at least for me, not to get any product on my scalp). The instructions say to leave it on hair for 1 minute and that's exactly what I did.

Thoughts/Outcome: I will say that for a cone-free conditioner, this product had quite a bit of slip. I've used it twice so far and both times detangling my hair was a breeze... like I could comb from root to tip. Also, my hair felt very soft after co-washing with it... both times. I don't know if that can be attributed to the conditioner or the fact that I'm baggying a lot now-a-days. I will definitely continue to use this conditioner, but I'll have to update this later (after I've used it a few more times) to say if I would purchase it again.

  1. Now you know I don't need to add another product to my ever growing arsenal of hair supplies..but I am making an Ulta run soon, so I might just have to pick some up!

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
