Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In Split End Protecter For Long Hair Review

Goodness, that title's a mouthful!!!

What is it? "... the beautiful beginning of the ends. Smooth them with a kiss of protective conditioning that strengthens your hair against split ends and breakage. I'll help keep your hair from splitsville with my quenching formula fused with extracts of red raspberry and satin. I'm a tip treat with a silky finish that feels so good."

Ingredients: water/eau, stearyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, rubus idaeus (raspberry) juice, hydrolyzed silk, dimethicone, glutamic acid, fragrance/parfum, benzyl alcohol, citric acid, sodium chloride, edta, propylene glycol, dmdm hydantoin, red 33.

Application: This is a leave-in conditioner, so I use it directly after washing and conditioning my hair. I also use it occasionally as a daily moisturizer and also when baggying.

Outcome: Some of my best hair days have come from this lovely stuff... seriously! It always leaves my hair soft and fluffy, not weight down or greasy, which is why I love it! A lot of ppl say that it smells good... to me it just smells like conditioner... nothing special. Now it DOES have protein, so those that are protein sensitive should tread lightly, but I don't think that the amount of protein in there can really drive someone into protein overload... I think you'd hit cone-overload before get to too much protein because it does have a few silicones in it. I wouldn't say it's hit "staple status" (yet...) but it is pretty awesome and I give it 4 stars!!

  1. I keep looking everywhere for this stuff, and I can never find it. I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk-Leave in Conditioner right now. I have no complaints about it whatsoever, but I keep hearing about HE Long-term Relationship, and the PJ in me can't resist searching for it...lol! All I can find is the shampoo and conditioner--never the leave in :(

  2. I couldn't find it anywhere either! That's why I ended up ordering it online from drugstore.com... a lot of ppl say they've found it in Target... have you tried there?
