So... because my hair isn't long my advice means nothing?

Hey ladies! First of all let me say THANK YOU for supporting my blog! I have 12 subscribers (yay!! lol) and each of you are freaken awesome!!!

Ok... so this has been bothering me since I started getting big into the hair boards. It seems that most people don't really take advice from people with shorter hair seriously...! Maybe I'm being extra emo today but that just rubs me the wrong way! It kind of makes me not want to participate in hair boards (like LHCF and BHM) if that's the attitude that people are going to have! So that means when I'm swangin my MBL hair THEN I know what I'm talking about? But how dare I try to give anyone advice with my SL hair? LOL, like I said, maybe I'm just being overly sensitive today but it sucks that people actually have that mentality.

I'm not gonna stop being on any of my hair boards right now, I'm just kind of venting at the moment.

But have any of you felt this way? If you're currently in the full APL+ club, did you feel this way before you reached that milestone?

  2. I definitely felt this way before I reached APL. I felt like no one was taking me seriously when I was SL. Even my own fam questioned me if I was sure I knew what I was talking about! It sucked. But after I while, I stopped caring. I knew my methods were working for me. I didn't stop blogging or posting though, those who are interested will read and benefit, and those who don't OOOH WELL! :)

  3. @jeni at least I know it's not just me! you're right, I'm gonna just keep doing what I'm doing and let that be it. Thanks! =)

  4. I think there are some people who will only take notice of those with APL hair or more but from my experience there are others who are genuinely looking for help from any source. So you are right to keep posting as your seed will eventually find fertile ground!

  5. Love, once they see your results...they will def start listening to you. Some people don't realize that everyone has a starting point and those with APL and beyond had SL hair too. Just keep doing what your doing...offer your advice and those who choose to take it can and those who don't find it valuable..who cares!!!

  6. @tola: thank you for commenting! IA there are some ppl that are not of that mindset, I'm not gonna worry about those that think that way anymore.

@tall: that's the thing, everybody started from somewhere but I guess that's just how the world is sometimes. =\

Thank you guys for commenting! All of your comments made me remember that for every person that has that attitude about it there are plenty more that do not.

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
