So, the best, highest quality hair in the world means nothing if you can't find someone to (affordably) install the hair properly.
One option used by some is to find a girl with a nice weave and ask her where she got her hair done... now obviously this is not foolproof!! What if her hair isn't a weave? Or what if she doesn't want anyone to know it's a weave and takes offense?? While I think this way is an awesome method (word of mouth is the best form of advertisement!), for shy people like me, it's not really too viable of an option unless I'm very close with the person whose install I'm admiring.
Another option is to do tons of research... this is where the weaves section at BHM (or on sites like it) can be super helpful. Many people put their experiences and reviews of the salons online so that you can get first hand info on the shop without them jacking up your hair.
For me, I decided that I don't mind being a guinea pig for the right price.
I researched and found a place in Atlanta called The Weave Shop. (Don't judge the name!! Check out their website!! Just turn your computer volume down if you're at work!!) They do basic sew-ins, with leave-out for $50!!! Haha, I'm excited to try them and I will definitely be back with pictures and a review after I carve the time out in my schedule to get my hair installed!!
Next in this series will be: Questions to ask your weavologist! See you soon!!
