Ca-Ca-Ca-Cassia! (take 2!)

You guys know I tried cassia for the first time at the end of last year... (watch the video here!)

Well I'm using it again today! (it's on my hair as I am typing this blog!)

For those who didn't know, I thought I would just give a tiny spiel on the benefits of cassia on the hair.

  • It has similar long-lasting, conditioning effects to henna without depositing the color (hence its nickname: neutral henna)
  • It strengthens the hair (similar to a protein treatment!)
  • It gives the hair a sheen and can increase the thickness of your hair
I will shampoo out the cassia in a few hours and deep condition my hair overnight. Tomorrow morning I will rinse out the conditioner and flat iron (#nojudgement!) my hair. This flat iron will make my 4/6 heat passes allowed for the year (I'm in a No Heat challenge on BHM!).

Pictures will be posted in the morning!

Do any of you guys use cassia regularly? Has it improved the condition of your hair over time?

  1. I don't use cassia, but I was considering henna to color my hair naturally. *still thinking* Can't wait to see the results!

  2. I'm going to be following your Cassia journey. Because of your video you had posted on your first try I spent an entire weekend researching Cassia ( didn't want to try henna because of the color deposits). So I want to see how you like cassia and your reviews before I jump in.

  3. @ECP pics will be posted tomorrow! I forgot!! LOL

@Nini I'm thinking of doing a full on review of my experience with cassia but for now I will post an update to my most recent experience this weekend (or early next week...)

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
