June: How did I do?

Best Tressed over at My Healthy Hair Journey reminded me with her post to post I about my hair goals/plans for the month of June updates... here's how I did:

  2. Protective style and low manipulation style EXCLUSIVELY ...Yes! I did it! I pretty much bunned the whole month but did a BKO and a couple braid outs in there...
  3. No direct heat (durrr!!) #win!
  4. Use my sulfur/MN mix daily (or every 2-days if my scalp starts getting tender) HAhahaha. I prob used my mix like once this month... maybe GAs just aren't for me....
  5. Retain one inch (I will take progress pictures stretching a portion of hair from the back) I never got around to taking the pics so IDK if I made this goal but I don't think so... the only times I have gotten close to that amount of growth was when I was being consistent with vitamins.
  6. Get back to keeping my protein/moisture balanced and stable Ehh... not really... no setbacks but I definitely HAD to do a protein treatment this past weekend because my hair was over-moisturized
Overall I am satisfied... I've done better but I have surely done worse too! I will make another post with July's goals!

  1. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!! Shoot for the moon and if you fail ur still among the you did a good job!

  2. I think you did good. I always have trouble taking my vitamins too. I'm getting better with my GA though since I like to use it for sealing sometimes.

    There's always next month (:

  3. I need to hit up a protein treatment too. I baggied my whole head the other night and woke up with hair that felt like it had just been rinsed with water after a shampoo and had a little breakage. I think it was too much moisture.

  4. I've been slacking on the vitamin front as well, ugh! lol

  5. I'd say you did pretty well. I didn't do too well on my vitamins either.
