Wash day [in pictures] at 8 weeks post

This past Friday marked 8 weeks since my last relaxer.

So far this stretch has been very stress free...

I decided to chronicle my latest wash day in photographs... (let me know if you guys see any products that you want a review for!)
My rat's nest--before; sectioned off.

I shampooed with Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo (from Sally's)
I did a quick protein treatment with Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructor
Just a quick shot of my NG... we have a love-hate relationship!
I deep conditioned with a mix of: GVP Nexxus Humectress, Castor Oil, WhGO, EVCO, glycerin, and Peppermint Oil. I sat under the dryer for 45 minutes and let it sit on my hair for another hour or two...
The results of a bantu knot-out the next day. =)
What are some of you guy's go-to products for a great wash day?

Hope you're all having a great hair day! ;)

♥,

  1. Philip Kingsley Moisture Extreme Shampoo can tame any knot or tangle and Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructor is just fab.

  2. Nice! I still can't get a good BKO. I love the lil smirk you do in your photos!

  3. Coconut oil, coconut oil, coconut oil. I have my staples, but this is the only staple that is NOT subject to change. I'm not even looking for anything better lol

  4. Looks like you got your successful wash day reggie down pat. How do you like the Argan oil shampoo? I loved the sample of this but when I got the full buttle it was extremely thick and gummy. And kind of hair to squeeze out. Is yours like that too or did I just get a bad batch?

As for my go-to products, I like using One n Only argan oil Restorative mask to DC. I also like to use vatika oil (aka "enriched" coconut oil) on air dried hair, lots of softness and shine :)

  5. I love using biolage and aveda conditioners and always seal with Gleau Nourishing oil. These products keep my hair sane.
