Christmas Day hair: Curlformers set!

So I purchased myself some (generic) Curlformers as a gift to myself. I got them from Ebay: a pack of 32 Long and Extra Wide and a pack of 40 extra long and wide-both costed around $45.

The day after my frizzed out flexi-rod set, I decided to co-wash and try the extra wide and long curlformers; here are the results!:

I guess the ACV rinses and ceramides have been
doing their jobs! Smoothness &shine!!

As for the process, not so much! I almost gave up at first because it seemed that my hair would not easily feed through the curlformer using the hook! I refuse to damage my hair for the sake of a style! But after the first row in the back I got used to it and was able to set my hair on 31 curlformers in about 45 minutes (or one episode of Gossip Girl on Netflix, lol) and they dried in about the same time (yes, completely, even with my faulty dryer!!).

One of the biggest pros for me was the fact that they helped to flatten out my roots... I'm 9 weeks post (and so unsure where the heck all this NG came from!) so that was a huge pluse

The style lasted for two days (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and would have lasted longer had I not been caught in some drizzle and in the hot kitchen cooking all day!

So far, I would say that it was VERY worth it to get the curlformers and I can't wait to try the extra long and wide size!

What was your Christmas hair-do??

  1. I love those curls!!!
I have been wanting to purchase those for a while, but felt like my relaxed strands were too weak to pull through the curlers. I think I may try them out now(when I catch them on sale..lol).
Hope you had a great Christmas!

  2. I've been wanting these! Your curls came out so pretty. Glad you could find a generic version that works for you.

  3. I'm seriously falling in love with all these flexi-rold/curlformer results! Pretty!

  4. The set looks great. I need to get on Ebay because I have the wide and long, but I want to try the narrow.

  5. Lol! Cf's can be a little challenging and frustrating at first. Once you get the hang of it you'll love them. The pros for me are how fast they dry and how quick I can put them in. They give the perfect the spiral curl.

  6. Beautiful! Glad you've gotten such amazing results :)

  7. Hmmm...now I am anxious to try some curlformers. If I can use them on my EL/NL hair.

  8. They look so great! I had the same experience when I first tried CF's at the start of my HHJ...I kept ripping out parts of my hair! Your results have me tempted to try again tho!
