My first flexi-rod set!

It was pretty much a fail!

Setting my hair on the rollers was fairly quick and easy (it only took me about 35-40 minutes compared to over an hour for setting on magnetic rollers!). Drying, however, was a different story. My entire head would not fit under my Conair table top therefore, the top dried but the back and the sides were still damp. I refused to sleep in the dryer so I used my hand-held blow dryer on low heat and high airflow to kind of dry the rest. Overall it took an hour and a half to "dry" but I had some damp spots in the back that didn't curl as well.

The look was cute while it lasted but my hair frizzed up something serious later in the night!

All in all, though, I will definitely be doing it again and I want to perfect flexi-rods!!!

Any tips on how to do the perfect flexi-rod set?

  2. I would not call this set a fail at all. It looks great. Once you get the dryer issue solved, your sets will be unstoppable.

  3. I wouldn't call it a fail, either. I think the result was really cute. As @MrsDjRass said, there are just a few kinks that need to be worked out.

  4. The result seemed to turn out very nice. Definetly not a fail. I understand your frustration with the process. Can't wait to see how the next one turns out.

  5. Thanks ladies! I meant more of a technical fail in addition tothe fact that my hair frizzed up within a couple of hours (probably because it was not completely dry...)

    But thanks again guys! :)

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
