Random Weekend Chatter: Update + This Week's Hair Plans

Happy Sunday ladies!!

I hope this past weekend was more peaceful for you than it was for me! =)

  • So, I learned from one of Jeni's recent posts (this one here) that Diane has 2" mesh rollers! Wha?! LOL, I will be purchasing some in the very near future (though I need to be spending my pennies on all my graduation "supplies"... cap and gown, grad announcements, diploma frames... $$$$!!)
  • This week I was a good girl and kept my hair hidden from Tuesday up until today. I plan on doing a roller-wrap tomorrow and wearing it out for a few days before doing some up-dos since I got my new EZ-Combs in the mail (did I tell you guys how I lost the ones I had before?!).
  • I committed to only using 1 (ONE) heat pass for the duration of Ebony's Roller Setting challenge. I was planning on using it for graduation, but since I'm getting so good with roller-wraps, I don't think I'll need to since I will be getting a fresh relaxer for the event. I will probably be using my heat pass at the end of March for my first real length check of 2012 (this will be my final indication of if I will make BSL by May!!)
  • To the giveaway winners: I AM SOOOO SORRY I have not shipped your prizes yet! They are still sitting on my dining room floor in a box! This week I will make my way to the post office to ship them off for you ladies!

How are you ladies doing on your 2012 hair goals??

Questions? Additional comments? Email me at

  1. I think I'm retaining well, judging from my last length check post.

    Twists, all day.

I'm pushing to WL by the end of 2012!

  2. I was so excited to see the 2 inch rollers. Purchasing some this week!

For 2012 I only had 2 goals: make WL and increase thickness. I know it's early to say this (lol) but I don't think WL is in the cards for me. I plan on trimming, so it might be more realistic to say full MBL and then we'll see! As for increasing thickness, the plan WAS to do a cassia treatment every month... I haven't done one, and I honestly don't really see myself doing one this month. So, um... I'm currently 0 for 2 haha!

  3. I recently used a heat pass and I think that I will make it to APL, BSL may be pushing it but full APL is definitely attainable. I am there by a few strands, lol. I don't think I'll be flat ironing my hair again for awhile. My hair was so dry and crispy. I felt it break and snap every time I touched it. The ends were tangled. Rambling, but I now know that I should stick to rollerset and airdry/ no heat styling.
