Quick Pics: Bantu Knot Set on Co-washed Hair

Due to a super busy schedule, I have not been roller-setting my hair for the past two weeks! I had to resort to a mid-week co-wash and decided to style my hair in bantu knots (I haven't done them since I posted these pics of bantu knots on previously straightened hair almost a year ago!)

I really loved the look (bantu knots were definitely a staple style for me at the beginning of my HHJ).

But enough chatter, here are the pics:
Before the curls fell... freshly taken down

At the end of the day, fully fallen

Fully fallen

Fully fallen
Enjoy!

  1. Shika, these are really cute. I love your wave definition. I am so bad at these. I had one good bantu knot set my first try and haven't been able to recreate that set since, that was in 2008, my second try was a curly afro. Do you have a tutorial or video?

    1. Thank you!! I like BKOs for a fast style... how big do you make your knots? I only did about 7-8 knots on this set...

  2. Cute!

From the first picture I thought you cut your hair and I wanted to scream, then I sighed for relief when I saw the last photo.

  3. I agree, cute results! Each time I've tried doing a bantu knot my hair looks like a diaster lol, just wasn't meant to be.

  4. You always get the best BKOs! you were the main (if not only) reason I continued to even attempt them after so many failed attemps at the start of my HHJ!
