Random Weekend Chatter: Diane Vs. Annie (rollers, that is!)

  • So, last week I had several scheduled posts, one of which was my spring goals... the first goal was keeping my PJing to a minimum... yet a few days later I blogged about shameless PJing! LOL, that was poor planning on my part; those products were purchased about a week or two before I actually wrote the post! I'm still going strong (like a week strong!) on my no-non-essential-hair-product-purchases goal!!
  • I finally got my new rollers from MetroBeauty! After opening my package, I was in roller heaven, ya'll!

  •  I WILL say, however, that I finally understand why people say that there is such a major difference between Annie brand and Diane brand mesh rollers! The Diane brand (see photo below) are so flimsy feeling! Plus, there's a crapload of extra mesh in the middle of the roller (**confused face**). They just seem poorly constructed... I haven't even used them yet and I already feel like I probably wasted my money. I'll probably head to the BSS and get the biggest size Annie mesh rollers they have (the purple color) and call it a day. (Click here to see a close-up of the Annie brand if you'd like to compare)
  • I've been wearing roller-wraps and buns 90% of the time since my last relaxer! As much as the temptation is killing me, I will either do a flexi-rod set or a curl-formers set this week for a little variety (plus my NG is getting large and in charge!)
Any of my mesh roller girls notice a difference between Annie and Diane brands? Which do you prefer?

  1. YESSSSSSSSSSSS! So now you see what I was saying, at first I was like HOW THE HELL IS SHIKA SO GOOD WITH THESE THINGS?! But then I was in the BSS and felt the difference *literally* in the Annie rollers. I think thats probably why the Diane brand also sells the kind with the brush inside. To make it sturdier...but can you say damage city with that damn brush? Anywhoooo, I ordered a couple difference sizes of the plastic mesh ones too.

  2. YES! I sooo get it now! I haven't even used them yet but I can already tell it's going to be interesting.

The products that I use are bought with my own money unless other wise stated and are for personal use. I am not paid to show any products on this blog! Results are on MY hair, but that does not guarantee that products/methods/techniques will work the same for you (though I HOPE they do!!) Happy Hair Growing!!
