Product Review: KeraPro Restorative Conditioner

So our hair blogging community has been abuzz recently about the KeraPro line of products. The line, and particularly the Restorative Intense Treatment, is supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the Kerastase Nutri-Therminique Masque. I will be dedicating a post to review each of the three items in the line that I have tried. This will be the second of three. (Check out my review of the KeraPro Anti Frizz Elixir.)
Retail Price: $10.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Behentrimonium Chloride, Steareth-2, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, BIS(C13-15 Alkoxy) PG-Amodimethicone, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Carthamus Tinctorius (safflower) Seed Oil, Glucose, Glycerin, Diisostearyl Fumarate, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Edta, Isopropyl Alcohol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Limonene, Coumarin, Fragrance/Parfum

According to them:"KeraPRO Restorative Conditioner for Normal to Dry Hair is a lightweight daily conditioner that replenishes and detangles normal to dry hair without weighing it down. Contains scientifically-advanced glucose, lipid and keratin protein actives. Strengthens and restores balance leaving hair soft, shiny and healthy."

What I think: From the very first use, I was in love with the restorative conditioner. Not to be confused with KeraPro's restorative treatment (in a small tub), I typically use the restorative conditioner (in the tube) as an instant conditioner on days when I need a small boost of protein without doing a protein treatment. This is one product that instantly softens my hair as soon as I apply it! And one of the best things about this product is that I don't need to leave it on my hair for a long period of time to feel the effects: just five minutes and after rinsing I have perfect "just-strong-enough" hair. The safflower seed oil content also gives my hair a healthy dose of ceramides.

Final Word: I can honestly say that this product is unlike any other product that I have in my massive PJ stash. It is my only go-to light-protein, instant conditioner and I will definitely be re-purchasing it when I run out (which will be soon!). 5/5 stars!

  1. I have not heard a lot about this product. Honestly, this is the first time I've seen this product. Most people rant and rave about the conditioner in the jar. Nice to hear about something new.

  2. Might try this if I ever get through my small stash of conditioners!

  3. This conditioner is the only product from the KeraPRO line that I don't own. I kind of want to try this now!

  4. I didn't even know about this one. I will put it on my list for when I allow myself to return to the money trap.. I mean Sallys:-)

  5. Great review,Shika. Straight to the point! This line has also peaked my interest. Maybe I'll add to my wishlist. My stash is low on dc and I need to restock anyway.
