Why I decided NOT to transition...

...because I realized/remembered how much I L O V E my relaxed hair!

...because I figured out that my frustration with myself/my setback were not the "right" reasons to go "natural".

...because I just didn't feel like it!

...because of this:

...and this:

...and this:

So. I'm still unsure when I will relax but I'm positive that I will =)

Until next time: many blessings and many great hair days!

  1. Yay! I'm kind of glad you won't be transitioning. I'm sure your natural hair would have been beautiful, but I love relaxed hair too. Especially when its thick and healthy.

  2. It's your hair and you do You! I'm natural but your hair is beautiful and noone should tell you otherwise. It's healthy and looks great. I sure as heck don't have patience to transition and I chopped that mess right off! LOL It was already short so it's not like I had to chop off 6 inches. Love your blog too!

  5. YAYY!!!! I too realized that part of my wanting to transition was out of frusration. I am texlaxed and the texture lol is actually what frustrates me, and I wanted to transition huh??? LOL So when I get the braids out I will fully relax my hair...not SUPER BONE straight, but straight enoungh to knock some of the kinks and coils out...and from there I will wear and maintanence my own hair more, opposed to wearing wigs. I love protective styling, but it tends to make me get hair lazy...which then makes it more difficult to manage when I do decide to do something with it...lol boy this hair thing in most certaintly a JOURNEY!!!

    1. It most definitely IS a journey!! It never ends! And I'm glad you're doing what you need to do for your hair. PSing without a purpose (making it to that next milestone or recovering from a set back) always makes me lazy too. 9/10 times I am psing BECAUSE I am lazy... good luck with your corrective relaxer!
